About Seventh-day Adventists

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a unique Protestant church with more than 1 million members in North America and approximately 23 million members worldwide. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing the Three Angels’ Messages with the world. By spreading these vital truths, Adventists invite others to experience God’s love and prepare for His soon return.

Seventh-day Adventists believe in one God: The Father, His only begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit make up the three living Persons of the heavenly Trio. Salvation was made possible when Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth as a babe in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. Through the crucifixion of Jesus for the world’s sins and His resurrection on the third day, the ultimate victory over sin was secured for all humanity.

After His resurrection and return to heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Counselor. He also pledged to return to Earth a second time to finalize His plan of salvation and lead His followers to heaven, a day that Seventh-day Adventists, along with many other believers, eagerly anticipate.

For Seventh-day Adventists, faith is holistic; they believe God is deeply invested in the quality of human life. Every facet of our existence from our diet and thoughts to how we treat others and steward the environment is viewed as part of His divine plan. God places immense value on the practical pillars of our lives, including our families, children, careers, talents, finances, and time.
